Benguet: Mines View Park

Located in Baguio City in the province of Benguet, Mines View Park is definitely one of the most visited parks in the city.

Mines View Park is popularly known for the observation deck that gives tourists a breathtaking view of Benguet's gold mines and the mountain range that surrounds the province.

My wife with our best pal Injin Bermejo
Of course I have my own pic!
A nice view from the viewing deck
Throw some coins to the anito then make a wish
Aside from enjoying the view from the observation deck, there are plenty of other things to do inside the park.

Who could miss the countless souvenir shops in the vicinity. From Baguio-made brooms and sweaters to obscene statues and key chains, there are surely plenty of items to choose from.

Meet Doglas
He loves photoshoots that's for sure
If adults would enjoy shopping in Mines View Park. The kids would surely love having their pictures taken with the huge St. Bernard dogs and miniature ponies in the park. Not to mention, you could also have your picture taken wearing the traditional Ifugao costumes.
Try out the burnt maize LOL
Dried squid anyone?
Strawberries yum!

Like most tourists who visited Mines View Park, my wife and I sure did enjoy our visit to the park. Aside from shopping, we also loved our food trip adventure. Don't forget to try out the different street foods sold in the area. It's a must for adventurers.

  2. Hi Neil, I am Roland Paez onwer of Doglas, the St. Bernard Dog in Baguio City that you wrote about in your blog. I would like to personally thank you for your wonderful words. I am overwhelmed to learn how much joy Doglas can bring to people, and the positive effect he has on those who are able to appreciate his presence. I hope that through your blog, you can help us reach more people so that they too can experience the happiness Doglas can give. We hope that more people visit him at Burnham Park in Baguio (Formerly located at Mines View Park and Doglas is not in any way related to other Saint Bernard Pictorial Dogs within Baguio) as we wish to be able to touch more lives with the happiness that he brings. Again, thank you so much, and do visit us again soon.
