My Birthday Travel Wishlist 2014

This year I came up with a list that's really special for me. Since it's my birthday, I'll be posting my wishlist of 15 best places in the Philippines that I'd like to visit.*

*NOTE: I didn't include in this list the famous/ beautiful tourist destinations that I have already visited.

15. Chocolate Hills, Bohol - One of the most famous landmarks of the Philippines. The Chocolate Hills is one of those places that is always featured in a tourism brochure. That is also the main reason why I like to visit this place.

14. Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro -Known for its stretch of fine white sand beaches and close proximity to Manila, Puerto Galera is one of those places that I know I could visit but I just couldn't find time to do so.

13. Hundred Islands, Pangasinan - One of the most picturesque places in the Philippines, Hundred Islands is an island hopper's paradise. I like to visit this place but I'm just waiting for anyone who'd invite me to visit this place (for free).
12. Mt. Pinatubo (visited on 4/12/15)- One of the most famous volcanoes in the Philippines, Mt. Pinatubo's fame came not from it's beauty but because of its destructiveness. Today, Mt. Pinatubo is visited because of the teal colored lake that formed in its crater. I would like to visit this place because I would like to feel how it is like to ride a boat in the crater of a volcano.
11. Sagada, Mountain Province (visited 11/25/16) - Known for the hanging coffins, this place is a 12 hour trip from my place. I would like to visit this place not because I'm fascinated with hanging dead people but because of the sheer adventure that one would experience before seeing those coffins.

10. Ifugao Rice Terraces, Ifugao (visited on 11/25/16)- Another scenic spot that you'd always see in travel brochures for the country, Ifugao Rice Terraces is a man-made wonder worthy to be included in the list of Wonders of the World. I would like to visit this place so that I could feel and see the glory of the native Filipinos first hand.
9. Palaui Island, Cagayan (visited on 04/27/14)- The island became popular after being used as the location of Season 27 of the hit reality show Survivor. I would like to visit this place because it is starting to gain popularity. The longer I delay my visit, the more expensive things get.

8. Miag-ao Church, Iloilo - The only church in my list, Miag-ao Church is famous for it's unique facade. I would like to visit this church for one of my Visita Iglesia adventures.

7. Biliran - One of the smallest provinces in the Philippines, Biliran is one of those provinces that is blessed with plenty of beautiful scenery. I would like to visit this place to experience a genuine R&R.

6. Calaguas Island, Camarines Norte - Far away from civilization and protected by rough seas, they say that this island is how the famous Boracay Island feels and looks like decades ago. I would like to visit this place and try to camp over night is this place.

5. Caramoan Island, Camarines Sur - This tourist spot is quickly gaining fame. It was used as the location of Season 26 of the hit reality show Survivor. I would like to visit this place before it gets too commercialized.

4. El Nido, Palawan (visited 5/10/16)- Popular destination for nature lovers. It is known as the Philippines' Last Frontier.  It's crystal clear waters is a must see for anyone who wants to know and experience what a real paradise is.

3. Coron / Puerto Princesa , Palawan (visited 5/10/16)- Despite its size, the province of Palawan is fast becoming a tourist destination to local and foreign tourists alike. Two places in particular got in my list. The first is the PPUR or Puerto Princesa Underground River that was declared as one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature. The second one is Coron, or simply the place like no other (You have to google it to find out why).

2. Mt. Apo - The tallest mountain in the Philippines, Mt. Apo is on every Filipino mountaineer's bucket list. Since I already conquered the third highest peak of the country, I might as well dream of one day conquering Mt. Apo.

1. Batanes - These group of islands in the northern most tip of the country is actually the smalest province of the Philippines. Since air fare tickets to this place is very expensive, visiting the province is would be my ultimate wish!

Do you have any suggestions?

For those who would like to help me complete my birthday wishlist, you may (PLEASE) do so. =)
See you in one of my upcoming adventures!!!
