Okuyama Ameyama Nature Park is really blessed by Mother Nature. It has picturesque hills where one can see a 360-degree view of the park and its surrounding areas. It also has plenty of plant life that will surely add beauty to the park during the spring and autumn season.

The placid waters and the orange-colored leaves reflected upon it is a sight to behold.

Aside from the natural beauty of Okuyama Ameyama Nature Park, there are also several man-made structures that equally add to the appeal of the park. Examples of these are the Eiraku Dam, whose stored water gives a dramatic lake-like atmosphere, another one of these man-made structures is the walking course constructed around the "lake". It not only gives visitors a chance to see the different parts of the "lake" but also helps people get fit. Lastly, the viewing decks on top of the hills give trekkers an unobstructed view of the park.

I visited Okuyama Ameyama Natural Park twice during my family's 27-day tour of Japan. The first time I visited it was when Mr. Toshi brought me on a short drive around the walking course during the 2nd day of our stay. The second was during my solo backpacking adventure to the park during the 4th day of our 2014-2015 Japan Trip.

During my second visit, I not only got to complete the walking course around the "lake", but I also got the chance to hike up to one of the observatories on top of one of the hills in the park.

Our adventure today takes us to a mountain south of Metro Manila. Mt. Gulugod Baboy  (other variations Mt. Gulugod-Baboy ) is located in Anilao, Mabini in the province of Batangas.
