Quezon Herbal Pavilion - Quezon

Located in front of Zigzag Park in the Atimonan part of the Quezon Protected Landscape, Quezon Herbal Pavilion is one of the newest tourist attractions of the municipality of Atimonan.

Quezon Herbal Pavilion history

The Quezon Herbal Pavilion was built on May 26, 2015, in what was once an ill-managed picnic area of the Quezon Protected Landscape. This project of Governor David "Jay-jay" Suarez aimed to improve that and also promote the benefits of herbs in preparation for launching Quezon province as the herbal capital of the country.

Welcome to one of Quezon's newest tourist destination

Ready to walk up a bit?

We frequently drive through the Zigzag Road (also known as Eme Road by the locals) on our way to my mom's hometown in Atimonan, Quezon. However, it was during the Experience Quezon Media Tour last 2016 that I first saw the pavilion. During that time, the pavilion was about 70-80% complete. Back then it lacks the herbs and plants that were to be its highlight.

Team Nicerio visits Quezon Herbal Pavilion

It was during our stopover a year later during our 2017 Batangas - Quezon Visita Iglesia that I first saw the different herbs and plants that were planted in Quezon Herbal Pavilion. There are also product displays showcasing the different products made from the herbs and plants found in the pavilion. These products can be bought in the pavilion and the shops in Zigzag Park.

Why visit Quezon Herbal Pavilion

Overall, there is still a lot more to improve with regard to the facilities of the Quezon Herbal Pavilion but by its mere existence, it means that the local government is already doing something great to look forward to in the near future. It's a must-visit if you fancy plants and the healthy products you can get from them.

Getting to Quezon Herbal Pavilion:

From Manila, ride a bus going to Legazpi City. Tell the conductor to drop you off at either Pagbilao or Atimonan town proper. From there, you can rent a tricycle (there is no fixed rate so some tricycles might charge an exorbitant rate) going to the Quezon Herbal Pavilion. However, it would be better if you use your own car to get to Quezon Herbal Pavilion.
