Camiguin: Bura Soda Springs

Found in Catarman in the island province of Camiguin, Bura Soda Springs is one of the many springs and pools found in the province of Camiguin. However, don't think that this place is just one of your ordinary springs. So what's unique about this place?
Bura Soda Spring
What sets Bura Soda Springs apart from the other springs in the province is its taste. You heard that right, from that name itself Bura Soda Springs has water that tastes like soda some says it's more like champagne.

I've googled for information regarding the reason why the spring has that unique taste. Some say that the water has minerals that gives it the unique taste, in addition to that it is also said that drinking the water from the springs would reduce osteoporosis, decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and lowers the blood pressure.

What I like about Bura Soda Springs aside from its tasty water is its relaxing atmosphere. I love the way the pool mixes with the beauty of its surroundings. The view of Mt. Hibok Hibok and the vast array of flowers and plants in the resort is truly admirable. The entrance fee is another big plus factor for tourists, imagine paying only P20 to experience the ambiance of the springs!

Take a refreshing dip

Looks Like:
Hundreds of gallons of Sprite.
The sugar that causes diabetes

Getting there:

Airline companies offer flights to Cagayan de Oro Airport (Laguindingan Airport).

From there  ride a van to Agora Market.  From there that will bring you to the Balingoan Port in Cagayan the Oro.

van fare to Agora: P200

van fare to Balingoan Port: P150

Board a fast craft going to Benoni Port.

Fast craft fare: P550-750

From Benoni Port in Camiguin you have a variety of transportation choices.

(It's a wise choice to haggle first before acquiring someones services.)

Motorcycle: P400-500 a day

Motorela (tricycle): P800-1000 a day

Multicab: P1500-1700 a day

In our case we had a prearranged tour. We rented a multicab to tour us around the province for two days.
