Image
Located at Legazpi Blvd, Legazpi Port District, Legazpi City in the province of Albay, Embarcadero de Legazpi is a premier waterfront establishment in the city. Embarcadero de Legazpi Embarcadero de Legazpi details During the Spanish era, galleons docked in the ports which bring livelihood and wealth to the city and its neighboring towns. Sadly, due to the events that happened in our history, the trade and income flow that once poured in the port area started to diminish.  Embarcadero de Legazpi - Legazpi City, Albay Today, Embarcadero de Legazpi once again brings back the glory to Legazpi's port district with its world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences. Embarcadero de Legazpi offers more than what usual malls in Manila do. Tourists could enjoy a variety of unique activities and amenities like riding a jet ski, a water jeep, and even a helicopter that would take you around the city and even near Mayon Volcano. Image
Since the Philippines is a tropical country, banana trees grow abundantly in every corner of the country. What else would Filipinos do with the abundance of these fruits? Create wonderful dishes with them of course. As you see, we Filipinos love cooking and eating. We cook almost everything including fruits.) Maruya One of the dishes made from bananas is the traditional dish called maruya . Also called Saba banana fritters after the variety of bananas used in the dish -the saba. A maruya is simply described as a fried dish of sliced saba banana mixed and coated with an egg-and-flour batter.  My grandma preparing the saba So what do we need to make a maruya? I interviewed local maruya makers in the province of Albay to find out (if they have secret ingredients) Here's what I found out: Maruya Ingredients:  ripe saba bananas egg(s) all-purpose flour vegetable cooking oil salt milk cocoa leaf sugar Upon learning the "secret herbs and spices" of the locals

Tagaytay - Nasugbu Roadtrip 2014

Image
There are times when we wanted to get away from the stress from work. Then, other times we just wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Well, my Tagaytay - Nasugbu Roadtrip 2014 was designed for both. However, when I undertook this trip with my family, it was actually my mom's birthday and it was a bonding time for the family. But believe me, I felt both before we had the trip. Tagaytay - Nasugbu Roadtrip 2014 Since it's a family bonding trip, the task of preparing and making our itinerary was given to me (as usual). My original plan was for us to drive to Lucban in the province of Quezon to see Kamay ni Hesus and visit their old church. However, I decided to shelf it for Holy Week and plan a picnic-by-the-beach-themed road trip... and the nearest beach in our place is located in the province of Batangas. I had to choose from the beaches in Laiya, Nasugbu, and Lian.  Nasugbu Arch Based on the comments and articles in the blogosphere , Nasugbu seems to rise

When I first created this blog a few years ago, I dreamt that one day some of my adventures would be published in some travel or lifestyle magazine.  VIEW Travel and Lifestyle Magazine - Vol 6 No. 11 That dream was fulfilled when VIEW Travel and Lifestyle Magazine published my article Chasing Waterfalls in their November 2014 issue. It's an unexplainable feeling getting published for the first time. Chasing Waterfalls Chasing Waterfalls is about my Iligan City experience. It features some of the famous waterfalls of the city and also shares some of my experiences in the City of Majestic Waterfalls. You would also find out about the other natural and man-made attractions that the city has to offer. Chasing Waterfalls is my first published article in my blogging career.  PHOTOS of the actual article was added in June 2020.

I have never thought of googling it or asking about it because it always slips my mind. (promise)  If not for my cousin's birthday, I would have missed the chance of visiting it FOREVER. (Ok, that's overacting on my part.)  Welcome to Bato Springs Join the herd... ...or swim in small groups. Bato Springs is quite a popular tourist destination for locals in San Pablo City, Laguna. However, just to share, when we visited last 2014 we used Google Maps and were surprised to discover that we were sent to the wrong location in the middle of the bustling city. Make sure you bring your friends or family members The more the merrier Thanks to the locals we managed to reach the resort afte
