Plaza Quince Martires NHI Marker

Plaza Quince Martires is known for the monument that was erected on November 29, 1926. It shows the faces and names of the 15 Martyrs of Bicol. A marker, also placed in the monument, tells the visitors the plight of these important Bicolano men.
Images of the 15 martyrs are found around the shrine

The 15 Martyrs were Filipino patriots who were executed for cooperating with the Filipino revolutionaries -the Katipunan. They were executed in Bagumbayan just 5 days after the execution of the National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal. However, little did people know that only 11 of the 15 martyrs of Bicol were executed that day. 4 of them already passed away while in exile or imprisonment.
