Puto Festival

Location: Calasiao, Province of Pangasinan
Details: The festival is celebrated every 26th to the 28th of December. Its highlight is the local delicacy called puto through dancing and puto themed artworks. This festival is a way for the people of Calasiao to promote their major produce -the puto. The word puto is the local name for the rice cake.

Kasadyawan Festival

Location: Dumaguete City, Province of Negros Occidental
Details: The festival is celebrated every 12th to the 14th of December. Its highlights are the colorful dance presentations and beauty pageants. This festival is similar to the mardi gras and is the longest established festival in Negros Occidental.

Kanyong Kawayan Festival

Location: Kidapawan City, Province of North Cotabato
Details: The festival is celebrated every 14th to 20th of December. Its highlights are the firing of the wooden bamboo cannons using empty milk cans as projectiles. This festival is a celebration that is actually a campaign to discourage the townspeople to use traditional pyrotechnics. The word kanyong kawayan means wooden cannon.

Tultugan Festival

Location: Maasin, Province of Iloilo
Details: The festival is celebrated every 29th of December. Its highlight is the street parade where the main musical instrument used is the bamboo drum. This festival is a way for the townspeople to promote their culture and musical lineage. The word tultugan is a Hiligaynon word that refers to the indigenous bamboo drum.

Sinukwan Festival

Location: San Fernando, Province of Pampanga
Details: The festival is celebrated every 29th of December until the 6th of December. Its highlight is the cultural diversity of the province through colorful dances and street parades. This festival is a way to relive the spirit of Kapampangan in honor of Aring Sinukwan, the god of ancient Kapampangans. The word sinukwan is actually the name of the ancient god of the Kapampangans.

Tag-Anitohan

Location: Camotes Island, Province of Cebu
Details: The festival is celebrated every 8th to 9th of December. Its highlight is the ritualistic type of dancing performed like the ones performed during ancient times. This festival is a way for the new generation to remember the history of the Pre-Christian people until their Christianization. The word tag-anitohan refers to the ancient statues used during religious festivities during the Pre-Christian era.

Pantatan Festival

Location: Zarraga, Province of Iloilo
Details: The festival is celebrated every 15th to 19th of December. Its highlights are the Grand Street parade, street dancing, and pantat cooking contests. This festival is a way for the townspeople to promote the town of Zarraga as one of the major producers of pantat in Panay Island. The word pantat is a local name for the catfish that is farmed in the municipality.

Bod-Bod Festival

Location: Tanjay City, Province of Negros Occidental
Details: The festival is celebrated every 14th to the 16th of December. Its highlight is the way the locals make Biggest Bod-Bod and the Smallest Bod-Bod. This festival is a way for the locals to promote their native delicacy called bod-bod. The bod-bod is a local delicacy made of glutinous rice, coconut milk, sugar, and salt.
