Osaka: Universal Studios Japan

Located in Konohana-ku, Osaka Prefecture in Japan, Universal Studios Japan (ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン) is one of the four Universal Studios theme parks in the world. It is owned and operated by USJ Co. Ltd, with a license from NBCUniversal.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) opened on March 31, 2001. During the opening year alone, the theme park was visited by 11 million guests, becoming the world's fastest amusement park to achieve the 10 million milestones at that time. Since then, Universal Studios Japan has had approximately 8 million visitors every year. According to 2013 Theme Index Global Attraction Attendance Report, Universal Studios Japan is ranked ninth among the top 25 amusement theme parks worldwide.

Enjoying the games and food with our Japanese family...
...and friends
We visited USJ during our fifth day in Japan. My wife and I almost tried all its rides due to our Universal Express Pass. The Universal Express Pass allowed us to skip the long lines and save more time. Aside from that, our Japanese family and friends accompanied us, helping us with our daughter and scheduling of rides.

Before leaving you should try out this turkey leg...
...and butterbeer

What I like about USJ is the production called Gift of Angels. It is similar to most of the night illumination festivals that we have seen in the country. the use of lights and sounds really made the production magical and a must watch. Overall, our 2-day adventure in USJ was one of the highlights of our stay in Japan.

Good night USJ!
