Lagoon and gazebo

  • Picnic grove
  • Lagoon and gazebo
  • Children's playground
  • Celebrity grove
  • Senior Citizen's grove
  • Food court
Aside from these, visitors could also rent one of the cottages or groves so that they could have a place to rest after exploring the park. They could also rent a boat and paddle around the lagoon. For those who hate water activities, they may opt to rent a bicycle to bike around the park.

Here are some of the wildlife in Albay Park and Wildlife (Can you name them?):

An article about Albay Park and Wildlife wouldn't be complete without mentioning the wildlife found there of course. The park houses some large cats like the lion and tiger. There are also several reptiles like iguanas, turtles, reticulated pythons, and crocodiles here too. You'd also see some native animals like the Philippine Deer, Philippine warty pigs, and Philippine Hawk-Eagle. However, the park seems to house more avians than all the mammals and reptiles combined. Some of the well-known bird species include the peacocks, ostriches, and eagles but visitors would also see several species of pigeons, boobies, and pheasants.

I have visited Albay Park and Wildlife twice already. The first was almost a decade ago and the latest was during the 5th day of our 2019 Bicol Road Trip. During our visit last May 25, 2019, the most observable change that I have seen was the increase in the park's entrance fee. The entrance fee back then was only P20 for adults and P10 for children. Good thing though, senior citizens and PWDs can still visit for free.

Till next time!

Albay Park and Wildlife Admission Fee:

To enter Albay Park and Wildlife, you have to pay 50 pesos per adult and 20 pesos per child.

Albay Park and Wildlife Opening Hours:

Albay Park and Wildlife are open from 6AM to 8PM

Why visit Albay Park and Wildlife?

Albay Park and Wildlife is a good place to visit for those who are staying in Legazpi City particularly those who want a wide place for their children to play. This place would also remind you of Manila Zoo back in the 80s.

Getting to Albay Park and Wildlife:

From Manila, one can book a direct flight to Legazpi City. The flight would take only an hour but keep in mind that it's a bit costly. If you want to save some money and you have plenty of time to spend, then I recommend boarding a bus plying the Manila-Legazpi Route daily. The estimated travel time is 12 hours.

Once in Legazpi City, you can ride a jeepney going to Albay Park and Wildlife. Look for the Daraga bound jeepneys and ask the driver if they'd pass the Albay Park and Wildlife. If they do, tell them to drop you there.

  6. I never visit zoos or places where animals are enclosed. It's such a shame to see lions ind tigers locked up in such small places. I understand that it might be entertaining for children, but they should be taught why this is so wrong.
